For my first trip to Morocco, I'm taking you on a journey between Marrakech and the Merzouga desert, exploring southern Morocco: medinas, mountain roads, kasbahs, gorges, oases, and the Erg Chebbi dunes. In this vlog, we start with a stop in Marrakech, before heading to Ouarzazate, the Atlas Studios, the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then the breathtaking landscapes of the Dadès and Todra Gorges. We then continue on to Merzouga, at the gateway to the Sahara, to discover the Erg Chebbi dunes, experience the desert atmosphere, the sunset, camping, and the encounters that make this trip so memorable. This trip to Morocco is also an opportunity to better understand the landscapes you'll be passing through: the role of water in the oases, irrigation systems like the khettaras, palm groves, mud-brick kasbahs, and local life far removed from the typical postcard image.
