Andrea Papini, class of 63, began studying music and piano at a young age with various masters; first in London with John Taylor playing with very good musicians from the English and Italian scene. Then the meeting with the African-American pianist Barry Harris of whom he was a student and performer for twenty years, until his death a few years ago, whom he followed all over Europe and in New York where he lived. So many collaborations over the years, some names: Steve Lacy, Bob Mover, Tony Scott, Pasquale and Luigi Grasso and others...
