Cinema at home: Die Hard (recreating Odeon cinema 1989 intro reel)
Die Hard arrived at UK cinemas in February 1989, several months after its US release and just missing the festive season here. Nonetheless, December seems a perfect time to re-experience the theatrical introduction to this most Christmassy of films (whatever Bruce Willis might think). This reel comes from the Jonno 77 archives and consequently misses some of the bells and whistles I've introduced in my more recent work. Still, the content is as carefully assembled as ever - look out for one or two references to the main feature that crop up in the ads and trailers.
