Can I be honest with you? Lately I've been feeling like I'm in the deep end more than I've ever been with these five kids — and today's vlog is all about my oldest, Sarai, who's about to turn seven and was the one who made me a mama in the first place. This is episode 7 of #FindingHarmony. We get ready together, sit down for a craft session with Sarai, I try a quick curly updo on myself, and we end the day at my niece Kaia's dance recital with my sisters. In between, I'm talking through the homeschool decisions I'm still figuring out in real time — virtual school, kindergarten this fall, and what it means to parent her differently than I was parented. I don't have a blueprint.
