Ackerman sentence I Humanitarian groups welcome judgment
Convicted child rapist, Gerhard Ackerman, will spend the rest of his life in jail. The South Gauteng High Court has given Ackerman 12 life sentences to run concurrently. In April, he was found guilty of more than 700 charges, including possession of child pornography, human trafficking, rape, sexual grooming of children, attempted murder, sexual assault and sexual exploitation of children.
