Saori Yuki – The life of a diva who was held back by her father, bound by her mother, and forced to give up two marriages. Saori Yuki, known for her song "Yoake no Scat" (Scat at Dawn), had a life behind the glamorous stage, marked by two marriages and the loss of her uterus. In 1969, at the age of 22, she married. However, her parents accompanied her on her honeymoon. She says she never even went out to eat with her husband, Akio Omori. Seven years of marriage, followed by seven years of separation. From the day she replied "Wait a little longer" to her husband's request for children, the rift became irreparable. At 37, she was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and endured five years of excruciating pain. Hormone therapy would change her voice. To protect her singing career, Yuki refused treatment, but after her mother witnessed her suffering, she decided to have a total hysterectomy at the age of 41. After her mother's death, she married a second time. However, Yuki couldn't bring herself to close the Yasuda Music Office, which her mother had founded, and at 60, she chose to separate again. In 2018, her ex-husband, Akio Omori, passed away. There's a 445-page book chronicling Omori's life, but his wife's name, despite their 14 years of marriage, isn't mentioned even once.
