The other side of "Narco-Town": #Culiacán, México

A mini-documentary showing another side of #Culiacán, Sinaloa. A city infamous for the Sinaloa #cartel and #El Chapo, making it a front-runner in media when it comes to "dangerous"-news. The aim of this video is to show a completely differente side that media rarely, if ever, mentions. The reason behind doing so it to bring some positive light into things and to show that in these places, there is still, of course, people living and "normal" life. We want to show the vibe of this city through a foreigners eyes and the welcoming mexican hospitality in action. Leila coming here as a solo-female backpacker with no prior experience in video making nor being in front of the camera, only coming because of an idea and a goal despite what people said, brings a very real and honest perspective. Hiram having such passion for his job and his city that he loved the idea and decided to make this with her without asking for a single person in return.
