In this interview, Patryk Pawlak (EUI) discusses freedom of expression and internet shutdowns with Lokman Tsui, Research Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy of the University of Toronto. Patryk Pawlak is a Part-Time Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre and Project Director for the Global Initiative on the Future of the Internet (GIFI) – a two-year project funded by the European Union. GIFI is a multi-stakeholder project established to promote the Open Internet and the Declaration for the Future of the Internet (DFI) and support the implementation of its principles in a collaborative and rights-based approach.
