Le Glacier Trail de Saas-Fee - Une rando UNIQUE en Suisse

Hello and welcome to this new video. Intro - 00:00 Today I'd like to introduce you to a trail that's unique in Switzerland. The Glacier trail in Saas-Fee. A trail that crosses 2 glaciers without the need for a quide or any equipment, in an absolutely incredible setting. The approach to the hut - 00:33 The first part of the trail starts at the Morenia station and leads over the Egginerjoch pass to the Britannia hut. The view from the hut of several 4000m peaks (Strahlhorn, Rimpfischhorn) is already magnificent. 1.5h Glacier traverse - 03:17 The glacier trail then descends to the first glacier: the Hohlaubgletscher. After this first traverse and a passage through a scree field, we arrive at the majestic Allalingletscher. Clearly visible markers guide us safely across the two glaciers. 2h The descent to Mattmark - 06:07 A final climb to the Schwarzbergchopf gives us a new perspective on the glaciers and peaks. Finally, we feel our way back down to the Mattmark dam. 1.5h An incredible 5-hour hike. #Switzerland #hiking #alps
