Hyundai IONIQ 5 in der ADAC-Statistik 2025: Was ist wirklich los mit der 12V Batterie?

In my latest video, I delve into the current ADAC breakdown statistics for 2025, which analyze breakdowns from 2024. The focus is clearly on electric vehicles! Are electric cars really more reliable than combustion engines? The statistics provide an answer. We look at the role the 12V starter battery plays in breakdowns – because, surprisingly, it is the main cause of failures in both electric and combustion-engine vehicles! One model, however, stands out negatively in the electric car statistics: the Hyundai IONIQ 5. I explain why the IONIQ 5 leads the negative statistics among electric vehicles and the specific problems responsible for this, in particular the failure of the integrated charging control unit (ICCU), which has already led to a recall. But don't worry! I'll also show you how to at least monitor the starter battery problem so you can always keep an eye on the state of charge (SOC) and voltage of your 12V battery and prevent unexpected failures.
