We Got Ducks… So We Rebuilt the Coop (Chicks Arrived Too)

On today’s episode at Hidden Well Farm, things escalated quickly… What started as a simple plan to tidy up the chicken setup turned into a full coop revamp. The girls had well and truly destroyed the yard, so it was time to rethink everything. We’ve reworked the layout to connect three separate runs, combining the current coop, the old coop, and a new free-range section to give them more space. Also installing a solar Auto Coop door and a camera inside the coop. Just when we thought we had things under control… the chicks arrived. Completely unexpected, and well past when we thought anything would hatch. And then… in true fashion… an “innocent” trip turned into coming home with three Pekin ducks 🦆 So now the whole setup has had to change again.
