After graduating from Kumamoto Prefectural High School, he entered the University of Tokyo. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tokyo, and completed his master's degree at the Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, University of Tokyo. In 1993, driven by the concern that "this country is mass-producing adults who cannot be independent," he established the "Hanamaru Learning Center," a tutoring school focused on "writing," "reading," "critical thinking," and "outdoor experiences," based on the philosophy of "raising adults who can earn a living." In 1995, he established "School FC," a preparatory school for students from the 4th grade of elementary school to the 3rd year of junior high school. Without flyers, and relying solely on word-of-mouth, the school grew through word-of-mouth, with mothers handling everything from finding locations to recruiting members. The membership, which started at 20, has grown to over 20,000 in 23 years. Furthermore, the summer school and snow country school, outdoor experience programs organized by the center, are extremely popular, attracting approximately 10,000 participants annually. In the summer of 2020, the Hanamaru Deserted Island Project was launched. Having provided various forms of support to public schools for 10 years, since April 2015, she has been involved in the operation of "Takeo Hanamaru Gakuen," a public-private partnership school in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, and it has been decided that this will be expanded to all 11 public elementary schools in the city. She has consistently provided learning support for children with disabilities and counseling for adolescents experiencing social withdrawal, and currently operates as an independent, specialized NPO, "Child-Rearing Support Team Mugigumi." Her lectures for parents and others, which she energetically conducts in various locations, used to attract over 30,000 participants annually for in-person lectures, but have since surpassed 100,000 since moving online.
