Tropical Storm Arthur could develop in the western Gulf by Wednesday morning

FLOOD WATCH continues for our southern counties and far eastern zone counties REST OF TODAY: Variably Cloudy, 40% Rain HIGHS: 85 - 89 WINDS: NE 7 - 14mph Still some scattered showers and spotty thunderstorms in the area, but not as heavy or widespread as Monday. Any risk of localized flooding will be down south or in our eastern zone counties. WEDNESDAY: Partly Sunny, Hotter HIGHS: 91 - 95 WINDS: SSE 7 - 14mph Patchy morning clouds then mostly to partly sunny and hotter. Our eastern zone counties could see a few showers, otherwise, little if any rain chance rest of the area. THURSDAY: Partly Sunny, Very Hot HIGHS: 95 - 99 WINDS: SE 8 - 16mph Dangerous heat! Always more difficult when it's the first time we experience it. By July, we're much more adjusted to this heat. We'll see a spike in temperatures well into the 90s on the west side of departing system near the coast.
