Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Severe storm threat late Wednesday

Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for June 16, 2026: It's been a beautiful Tuesday with highs back into the 70s. Isolated shower/rumbles will be possible through the evening and overnight. Temperatures fall into the upper 50s. Wednesday will be dry through the morning and afternoon. Southwest winds will pick up with highs in the 70s. We will be watching severe storms develop to our west. The highest threat is to our west, but those storms could still pack a punch as they enter our area. Damaging winds would be the primary risk with these storms, but we can't rule out some of the more intense leftover storms producing hail or isolated tornadoes. Heavy rain is also an issue with these storms as our atmosphere will have plenty of moisture to work with. Rain and storms return for us through the evening and overnight hours. Strong winds and heavy rain will be likely. Make sure you prepare for any potential power outages before bed. Keep the phone charged and on with a way to get warnings overnight. Rain will be long gone by the AM rush on Thursday. Jessica Van Meter has more: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/... At 3News, we’re here to share your voice and tell your story.
