Maybe I AM The Weird Friend...? | Individuation vs Groupthink

Have you ever felt like the odd one out in your friendships… even when nothing is technically wrong? Like you care about people, you show up, you’re not doing anything harmful… but somehow you still feel slightly outside the group? In this video, I talk about what it actually means to be the “weird friend” and why it might not be about you being awkward, distant, or hard to connect with. Sometimes it’s deeper than that. It can come from how you think, how you process people, and how you move in friendships. I've felt like the weirdo friend in groups because my values and behavior didn't match the majority. My decision-making system always conflicted with a group’s cohesion system. So let's just say I now prefer 1 to 1 friendships (although there are special exceptions). So in this video I'm talking about: why valuing fairness and nuance can make you stand out among group think why not performing loyalty can confuse people how emotional independence affects group dynamics why groups don’t always push out the “problem” person and why you might feel misunderstood even when you’re being genuine If you’ve ever felt like you don’t fully fit in… this might help you start to unpack why. #freindship #selfawareness #emotionalindependence
