The SIDE Triangle: Making Yoko Sankaku Work for You (BJJ and Judo)
Today we take a look at a variation of a triangle you don't see very often in jiu-jitsu: YOKO SANKAKU (aka the side triangle). Now, you WILL see it rather often in judo, where it can be used both as a submission and (often more importantly) as a hold-down or a pin. For our method today, we work from a situation where our partner is in the single leg. We look first to control our partner' posture, then to establish good control over their midsection, and finally step our leg into the proper position to set up the triangle. My good friend John Cholish made excellent use of this during his career in the UFC - and it can be a strong technique for you as well! 👊 MY INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS: https://bjjfanatics.com/collections/a... ⭐ ➡️ MY BIO (by John Danaher): https://bit.ly/3gUMU5R === Like this video?
