This adventure took us deeper into the forest around Malawaken Village, Kalimantan. I was accompanied by a Dayak girl named Tia, who is very familiar with the forest and the various wild fruits that grow in the interior. The journey immediately began with a tense incident. Just a few steps into the forest, a large durian suddenly fell right behind us. Shortly after, a tamarind fruit also fell twice, almost hitting us as we walked along the forest path. It was truly an experience that taught us to be more vigilant in a forest full of fruit trees. With Tia, we explored the forest in search of various unique and rarely known Kalimantan forest fruits. In this remote area, many fruits only appear during certain seasons and are not found in markets. In this video, you will see dozens of unique and rare Kalimantan fruit varieties. The forest around Malawaken Village remains remarkably pristine. Tall trees, fresh air, and a variety of wild plants and fruits are part of the Dayak people's way of life, living in harmony with nature.
