The vice president of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Real Estate (Caincruz), Juan Carlos Alarcón, reported that the sector is undergoing a period of readjustment driven by the prevalence of the parallel exchange rate and restrictions on bank financing. The industry representative explained that, while the rental market in Bolivianos remains stable, the real estate sales segment is registering increases—with studio apartments doubling in value—and high demand for lease-to-own properties due to a shortage of available stock. He also expressed concern about the impact of the exchange rate adjustment on loan payments for land purchases.
