Goat Lake Washington 2026

Decided to do a father's day weekend at Goat Lake. It was a fairly easy hike with a lot of payoff. Many youtube videos described it to be void of people.... Very untrue unless you never left the city... We never had privacy on the trail or at the lake. The parking lot was almost full at 5 am, when we arrived, and luckily a boy scout troop was just leaving. So we got a premier camping area! Spent a couple days fishing for Brown, Rainbow and Eastern Brook trout. We caught everything but the Rainbows. Red, Yellow and Gold rooster tails and dry flies worked the best for us. on our 2nd day we ran into a trail cat! yes I said a cat! She was a young one in training. I do not know the owners, but hope they see this. we added a picture of her in the video. Loved the hike and the Lake. This is a hike we want to repeat again!
