Comiendo SUPER MILANESAS en DON IGNACIO 😋 ¿Cómo probar la mejor milanesa en Buenos Aires, Argentina?
In this video, we share our second day in Buenos Aires, reunited with Daniel! We started the day in Recoleta, where we had breakfast at Café La Rambla—of course, we ordered a delicious café con leche and croissants. Then we strolled through the small squares, visiting the enormous rubber trees, and also took a trip to the Recoleta Cemetery. For lunch, we went in search of some super milanesas in Almagro. We went to Don Ignacio, a restaurant that plays rock and roll music and the walls are covered in vinyl. We ordered a Milanesa Don Ignacio with tomato sauce, ham, cheese, onion, oregano, and fried eggs, and we also ordered a Milanesa Napolitana Especial with tomato sauce, cheese, tomato slices, and garlic. Both milanesas were delicious, and there was nothing left on the plates! Don Ignacio is considered one of the best restaurants to eat milanesas in Buenos Aires, and we can highly recommend it. Later that afternoon, we went for tea at Las Violetas, and we also visited the National Historical Museum to see San Martín's saber. That was our day of sightseeing in Buenos Aires! See you in the next video. Milanesa in Buenos Aires, Argentina: Don Ignacio Restaurant * Address: Av. It highlights the unique atmosphere of the city, the beauty of its streets, and the special energy of the Argentine capital. The morning stroll allows you to soak up the tranquility, the radiant sunshine, and the iconic postcard views of the neighborhood, such as the historic Recoleta Cemetery. 🥩 Lunch in Almagro: The Search for the Best Milanese After walking and enjoying the morning, it's time for lunch, and the challenge arises: finding the best Milanese in Buenos Aires. The chosen destination is Don Ignacio, in the heart of Almagro, famous for the size and legendary flavor of its Milanese. Two varieties are ordered: the special Napolitana, with a fried egg, tomato, garlic, and abundant mozzarella, and the house classic, with sauce, ham, oregano, and onion. All accompanied by a Don Valentín wine from the Bianchi winery. The verdict is unanimous: the Milanese are gigantic, flavorful, and every bite is a feast. The plates are cleaned, the bottle is empty, and the recommendation is absolute. Lunch for two costs $24, a pleasantly surprising price considering the quality and quantity, especially compared to prices in Canada. 🍰 Afternoon Tea at Las Violetas: Coffee, Cakes, and Architecture With a full stomach but room for dessert, the walk continues to Las Violetas pastry shop, just five blocks from the restaurant. The place is famous for its architecture and historic windows, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable afternoon tea. Enjoy cafés con leche, cheesecake, and mimos, all for just $11 for three people. The excellent value for money and the charm of these traditional Buenos Aires lounges are noteworthy, ideal for a sweet and elegant break. 🏛️ Visit to the National Historical Museum: Sabers, Heroes, and San Martín The afternoon continues with a long-overdue visit: the National Historical Museum. The excuse is to see San Martín's curved saber, but the surprise is to find a collection of weapons, swords, and sabers from the heroes of the independence of Argentina, Chile, and Peru. The museum, located in a colonial mansion, is welcoming and educational, and is recommended for all travelers visiting the city. Admission is free (with the option to donate), and a grenadier always guards the Liberator's saber, which is displayed in a special display case. The tour ends with a recreation of San Martín's room in France, where he lived his final days after being forced into exile from Argentina. A reflection on San Martín and his historical legacy crowns an afternoon of culture and memory. Eating SUPER MILANESAS at DON IGNACIO 😋 How to try the best milanesa in Buenos Aires, Argentina?
