How to Use Loose Wet on Wet WATERCOLOR Techniques with Bold Colors
Enjoy this new watercolour painting tutorial of a tropical blue orchid. The main idea for this tutorial is to show how to paint in a free loose style. Rather than focusing on the details, the aim here is to concentrate more on the free flow of the paint and to create shapes using light and dark. I have deliberately chosen to use a very limited palette of ultramarine, dark indigo blue and violet, which contrast with the bright green and ochre background. The free flowing blues and violets blend in and create interesting shapes and effects. The wet in wet techniques used here create some interesting spontaneous effects. The use of bold and bright colors capture the essence of autumn berries in watercolor and add depth and vibrancy to the artwork. Capturing this beautiful blue orchid with watercolors allows for a dynamic play of vivid hues and soft textures. Watercolor is the perfect medium to showcase the delicate yet bold nature of the orchid. The stunning blue and violet petals glow with intensity, while the bold green and gold background provides a dramatic contrast. Using the wet-on-wet technique allows the colors to flow naturally, creating soft transitions and a lifelike appearance. Watercolors also offer the flexibility to experiment with layers, highlights, and shadows, giving the painting depth and dimension. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Main colors that I use for this tutorial: Vallejo liquid paints • Light green • Olive green • Ochre • Ultramarine • Indigo • Violet Rembrandt • Azomethine Yellow If you like this tutorial please like and subscribe for more!
