You Won’t Believe The Size Of This Foal😳 - Baby Horse Weight Reveal

Our Missouri Fox Trotter mare, Jessie, has officially welcomed her beautiful new foal! Just a few hours after birth, we couldn’t wait to find out how big this little guy really is. Jessie is known for throwing some BIG babies—her last foal weighed in at an impressive 125 lbs! Our biggest foal we have ever had born here at Homestead Horsemanship. So of course, we were extra curious this time around… especially since this colt already looks like a big boy himself. For reference, the average Missouri Fox Trotter foal is typically around 80–100 lbs at birth, making anything close to (or over!) 120 lbs pretty impressive. Join us as we weigh Jessie’s new colt, check in on mama and baby, and see just how he compares! Do you think he’ll be bigger than her last foal?
