I Had To BREAK The Shell To Save This Trapped Baby Chick!

For the first time ever, I was trimming feathers to prevent a chicken from flying over the fence. I finally had chicks hatching inside my incubator—unfortunately not my own eggs this time, but it means I'm getting closer to starting my own chicken egg incubation project, and trust me, I want a lot of chicks. Meanwhile, Garry finally met Rumi... and let's just say it was not the friendly first meeting I was hoping for. I also found myself in the middle of a tiny rescue operation. One chick had been stuck inside its eggshell for more than eight hours, and from my experience, it seemed like I might have been its last chance to survive. While we were enjoying a beautiful storm and much-needed rain, another surprise arrived in the garden. And as always, that's just a small part of what's been happening. From baby birds and incubator updates to rescues, storms, and unexpected challenges, there is never a quiet week in this garden. 📌 Love budgies?
