In this week’s episode, our friend Steffen visits with his stunning last-edition Range Rover L405, powered by the 3.0L SDV6 engine. Steffen is a lawyer—and, funny enough, this type of car is known to be driven by lawyers. But things weren’t so smooth under the hood... After a complete engine replacement at just 60,000 km, Steffen's Range Rover developed an annoying clicking noise at the front end. With Land Rover taking five months to complete the previous repair, Steffen wasn’t keen on going back. So Vera and I jumped in to help! We suspected major issues with the power steering—possibly a big job. But after some deep diagnosis right in our driveway, we discovered the shocking and hilariously simple source of the noise. It was pure Hollywood-level drama... and fixing it didn’t cost a cent. Steffen was almost ready to file a lawsuit—until we saved the day! As a bonus, we also wrapped up a few final repairs on our Queen (the 2015 Range Rover 4.4L SDV8 Autobiography Black Edition), including a quick and easy serpentine belt replacement—an approachable DIY job on even this luxury beast.
