Prince William & Kate in Canada- Day 5
The fifth day of the Royal Tour got underway on Prince Edward Island, a province that enjoys a rich history of Royal connections. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge began their day in the capital, Charlottetown, before heading off to Dalvay-by-the- Sea, where Prince William took part in a Waterbird exercise. The couple then went head to head in a dragon boat race across the Dalvay Lake. Following the race, the Duke and Duchess were fully immersed in the island's culture. They took part in a "smudging" ceremony and enjoyed Acadian, Celtic and First Nations music and dance. Finally, Kate was presented with a copy of 'Anne of Green Gables,' the best- selling novel which is set on Prince Edward Island.
