Technology Is Making Us Worse at Photography
I took a weird piece of camera tech onto the Golden Gate Bridge to see if making photography easier would actually make it better. Instead, I realized the tech might be making me a worse photographer. The adapter turns manual-focus Leica lenses into an autofocus setup on Sony, which sounds incredible in theory — but in practice, it made me question how much new camera gear, autofocus tools, and “easier” workflows actually help us become better photographers. This is part San Francisco photo walk, part camera gear test, and part reminder that convenience is not the same thing as creativity.
