There's a word in the Hebrew Bible that only occurs three times. I came across it, but something else struck me: I thought the Flood ended the story of the giants. The end, water over everything, over everything. But then the spies return terrified from the Promised Land, saying they saw the Nephilim, and I stopped: wait, this is AFTER the Flood. How did they come back?
