Hillingdon to Ickenham: Green Belt within London

Strolling the meadows of the Hillingdon Trail: Why I love Ickenham Marsh Have you ever wondered about that spot of unexpected countryside between Hillingdon station and Ickenham station when you pass it on the train? That's Ickenham Marsh, preserved by the Green Belt even though it's sandwiched between urban areas. This is a walk between those two stations on the Uxbridge branch of Metropolitan Line and Piccadilly Line via that marsh. Furthermore, it is walk 56 on the 408 I'm doing between every station on the London Underground. Walked on 20 July 2023, the very day of the Uxbridge and South Ruislip by-election after former MP Boris Johnson resigned his seat. Despite being in this UK parliament constituency for the entire perambulation, not a poster to be seen.
