North & West London Lines - Driver's Eye View

A real treat for you viewers, not seeing just one but seeing two drivers eye views of the North & West London lines. Starting at Richmond we travel the same tracks as London Underground’s District Line to as far as Richmond. After this the North London proper begins. At Acton Central we change voltage current from the 750 V DC third rail to the 25 kV AC overhead wire. The West London line joins us at Willesden Junction and from there to Stratford we get to discover the rich history of the route running via West Hampstead, Gospel Oak and Hackney Central. After terminating at Stratford we go off to explore to old North London line branch to North Woolwich which closed in 2006. We return back to Willesden Junction for a trip over the West London line to Clapham Junction. Normally trains terminate on platform 1 and CLJ but in this video a real treat we terminate on platform 17 instead. Like always your support for this channel is amazing.
