Catching Gar On A Rope Lure
The dog days of summer on a southern lake or river offer a unique fishing opportunity—catching gar on a rope lure. It's part hunting, part sight fishing, and part getting your arms worn out from hard-fighting, tooth-filled gar. This segment appeared on GON-TV after an Aug. 11, 1999 trip to Bartletts Ferry Lake with lure makers Jack Barnett and Buddy Perkerson, along GON owners Steve and Emma Burch and friends.
