Bahnverkehr in Siedlinghausen mit 78 468 & V160 002 + Sonderzug und PESA Link

Siedlinghausen is a village with 1,900 inhabitants in the Sauerland region and a district of Winterberg. The train station is located on the Nuttlar–Winterberg railway line and was opened along with it in 1906. From 1908 to 1966, the line extended further to Frankenberg (Eder). Until the mid-1980s, the station had a freight loading facility, an additional platform track, and even a siding. Until the mid-1970s, these tracks were primarily used to form ballast trains, whose wagons came from sidings further uphill. However, these tracks were dismantled by 1989. Since then, the station has consisted of only two platform tracks. During a modernization project in the early 2010s, one of the pedestrian overpasses was removed, and the platforms were given their current appearance. Platform 1 is 137 meters long and 24 centimeters high. The second platform is 111 meters high and 28 centimeters high. Normally, only the outer track is needed, because the RE57 crosses at Bigge station. However, if a special train runs to Winterberg, it crosses with the RE57 at Siedlinghausen.
