From Veal Prak to Damnak Khos, we hike approximately 14 km along peaceful forest trails, crossing streams, discovering hidden waterfalls, and searching for signs of wildlife. Along the way, we find footprints of Asian elephants, sun bears, and wild dogs, while spotting colorful birds, fascinating insects, and the rich biodiversity of the rainforest. One of the highlights of this adventure is learning from our experienced local guide, who shares his deep knowledge of jungle survival, including edible forest fruits, medicinal plants, natural dyes made from tree bark, and traditional trees used for building boats. We spend a magical night at Damnak Khos, a remote jungle campsite surrounded by pristine nature. After sunset, we enjoy an exciting night fishing experience on the peaceful river under the stars. The next morning, our adventure continues as we explore the untouched rainforest by kayak and canoe, paddling along crystal-clear rivers, admiring beautiful wildflowers, and meeting local fishermen before returning to the Chi Phat community by boat.
