Planting Atemoya | Geffner, Lisa, Priestly | Annona atemoya

Hello everyone, in today's video we are in the tropical fruit forest in Bradenton, Florida planting atemoya. Today I am very excited because I was able to get my hands on 4 atemoyas which were. Atemoya varieties: Geffner, Lisa, Priestly. Atemoya is a hybrid fruit part of the Annonaceae family and is very delicious. To me, atemoyas are like XXL sugar apples which are oftentimes much chewier, sweeter, and juicy depending on the varieties. Geffner Atemoya: Self-pollinating atemoya, fruits are large and have a classical atemoya taste. Various notes of both sugar apple and cherimoya can be tasted in the geffner atemoya with strong hints of pineapple. Lisa Atemoya: Tropical berry-flavored atemoya. Has strong custard tastes with a delicious chewy consistency. Very juicy and sweet atemoya and its berry taste is a necessity in the garden. Priestly Atemoya: (Haven't tried myself) Supposed to be a superior tasting atemoya variety that is very chewy and sweet tasting. In Florida, growing atemoyas are well suited for our environment and climate. Due to atemoyas cherimoya genetics (Annona squamosa x Annona cherimola) it handles our Florida winters much easier than sugar apples do. I purchased these atemoya fruit trees from my Thai friend Sai which her nursery address is: 7026 Boyette Road Wesley Chapel, FL 33545 If you do decide to go search on Facebook "Saithong Nursery LLC" and her phone number will be there. You will need to call her before you show up. You can say "Harley" sent you. Over the next following years, I can't wait to update everyone on how the atemoyas are going to be growing.
