Let's go birding: early March field trip, Vancouver BC
A virtual ornithology class field trip to Jericho Park, near the UBC campus in Vancouver. We focus on the late winter / early spring behaviour of bird species, with increased singing and other activity in preparation for the breeding season. This video was made especially for students in UBC's Biology 427 course (Ornithology and Herpetology), and is being shared more generally in case others enjoy it. All photos and video are by Darren Irwin. I thank Jessica Irwin for advice, and Maja Irwin for some of the camera work.
