Nemo Technologies, a modular construction startup founded in 2024 by CEO Kim Min-seok, who previously led the architectural firm Notion, defines modular housing as a "product and system" that is precisely produced in a factory and can be replaced, expanded, or relocated as needed. It is an attempt to overcome the limitations of traditional construction, where quality varied from site to site even when built with the same blueprints, and where demolition was the only solution once the building aged after completion.
