Understanding CMOS inverter | Why NMOS passes strong 0 and PMOS passes strong 1
99% of the transistors manufactured today are MOSFETs or FinFETs. In digital CMOS logic design these are simply used as switches. To act as an ideal voltage controlled switch there needs to be some conditions met: 1. When it is turned on, it must be able to pass any voltage from input to output. 2. When it is off, it should not conduct.( current = 0) In this video I've discussed the first point, that's MOSFET being able to act as a good pass gate or pass transistor. CMOS logic essentially comes originated from the basic fact of pass gate. If you find the video helpful, like, share and SUBSCRIBE!!!!
