Today we're in Umbria, specifically in the province of Perugia, where the houses of an ancient village are surrounded by mountain streams that branch out through the center. Since time immemorial, a spring has provided the town with its precious water, which over the years has been exploited with wool mills, dye works, and hydroelectric power plants. But like all mountain villages, Rasiglia has also suffered severely from depopulation, and after the 1997 earthquake, only a few dozen inhabitants remained. Visiting Rasiglia today, however, one finds a village that's far from forgotten. Many tourists visit the well-maintained streets of the center...what happened to that village that was capable of changing its destiny?
