DIY Bronze Casting (inclusive failures...)
I wanted to cast three bronze pendants using a simple, traditional setup: a homemade forge made of firebricks, fueled by charcoal and forced air. Things didn't go exactly as planned. I ran low on charcoal and had to improvise with a gas torch to get the heat I needed. It annoyed me at first because I wanted to keep it purely traditional, but handiwork means adapting to the situation. In the end, out of three molds, only one survived—but that single piece turned out beautiful. While working, I talk a bit about the deep meaning behind these ancient symbols and the profound satisfaction of making your own jewelry and amulets from scratch. Grab a drink, sit by the fire, and watch the flawed but honest process. --- If you appreciate traditional crafts and raw experiments, feel free to subscribe. #bronzecasting #metalwork #ancienthistory #handmade #diy #bushcraft #honestcraft
