For watercolor artists, water is the vehicle that transports our pigment across the paper, and when used in the right amounts it can create beautiful, romantic passages in our paintings, but it can also sink our paintings if we use too much or too little. Too little can make our paintings dry and hard edged, and too much can make them too washed out and undefined, with uncontrolled blooms and blossoms.
