£30 DIY Folding Garage Door Build | Ugly Carport Makeover (Part 6)

Join me this week as I tackle the final steps of our carport makeover! I’ll finally be hanging the 3 doors which I bought from a salvage yard last week, combining them to secure a single large garage-style opening. First off though, I will have to fight with some stubborn bolts and screws so I can transform the salvaged doors into one single door next to a folding door, which can be opened outwards to make the carport extra accessible. I also finish off the converted sash window by filling in the window panes with reclaimed Perspex to keep birds from trying to nest inside. OUR STORY: After 20 years of moving around, in July 2024 we finally moved into what we hope will be our forever home: A 0.2 acre plot of land with a cottage in rural South-West Scotland. It's a place we never imagined we'd be able to call our own. The house and grounds are tired and in need of rejuvenation, but this is great for us because we love gardening and DIY projects that involve restoring old houses.
