D&H and NYSW
In 1988, the D&H declared bankruptcy and dropped out of the Guilford system. The New York, Susquehanna & Western was named to be the Designated Operator by the bankruptcy court. NYSW operated the D&H from 1988 to 1991 when it was sold to CP Rail. To handle the increased traffic the Susquehanna acquired B40-8's financed by CSX, joining the fleet of 5 they already owned. This video is a collection taken during that D/O period, in varied locations from the Reading area, the Lehigh and Southern Tier lines, and around Binghamton NY. largely featuring the Susquehanna GE's.
