A Cozy Day in Otaru 🕊️ Music Boxes, Legendary Cheesecakes & Iconic Canal

Taking a magical day trip from Sapporo to the nostalgic port town of Otaru, Hokkaido! We started our day by completely getting lost under the Sapporo TV Tower in Aurora Town (a total rite of passage!), took the stunning coastal train right along the edge of Ishikari Bay (Sea of Japan), and spent the day exploring the fairytale streets of Otaru. From the historic Otaru Music Box Museum and the iconic steam clock to the beautiful hand-blown glass workshops at Kitaichi Glass, this town feels like a living time capsule. We also stopped by the cute Snoopy Cha-ya, treated ourselves to the legendary LeTAO Double Fromage cheesecake, and capped off the night watching the 63 gas lamps light up the breathtaking Otaru Canal.
