📝 Sometimes exciting places are right on your doorstep – you just have to discover them. This tour takes me to a section of the Lahn Valley Cycle Path that was a real bottleneck for a long time. Between Geilnau and Laurenburg, there used to be no continuous cycle path – anyone wanting to continue had to take detours or use the narrow towpath directly along the Lahn River. Today, things are very different: With the completion of the missing link in March 2023 and two modern cycle and pedestrian bridges, a continuous, safe, and surprisingly harmonious solution has been created. I've cycled this section several times before, but this time with a very special reason: A request from Meggi and Wolfgang from the "Radtouren Gehle – Zwei auf Tour" (Cycling Tours Gehle – Two on Tour) channel, who remember this part of the route from before the missing link was completed.
