ADDIO VECCHIA LIVREA MALPENSA EXPRESS...

After a while, the time has come to say goodbye to the old Malpensa Express livery. It all started on May 19, 2022, when the ETR245.06 came out of the Novate depot in the new Malpensa Express livery. As a new convoy exited, an old one entered and so on. As is known, the livery includes a light gray base and sides in two shades of Bordeaux with the arrows already seen on Caravaggio and Donizetti at the height of the fronts. On board, the seats have been completely renovated, along with other furnishings, to give passengers the impression of boarding a new train. For the works on the exterior and interior, suitable materials were chosen to contain damage and facilitate restoration in the event of vandalism. The restoration of the entire fleet of 14 trains was completed at the end of October as had already been anticipated a few months ago, for a total investment of over 1.1 million euros. A few days ago, the last ETR245 left in the old livery, namely the 09, entered the Novate workshops, which will soon return to circulation with the new color scheme. In this video you can see some convoy at the Milano Centrale station in service with the various connections to and from Malpensa Airport T1. Good vision!
