This ain't for Sissies | 2024 Traditional Bowhunting ELK

This year's archery elk hunt was a short one but a good one. We arrived at camp a few days before the bow hunting season started, just to get the wall tent set up and firewood cut. Due to an upcoming moose hunting trip to Alaska, I'd have less than a week to hunt elk with my hand made osage selfbow. Being so early in the season, the first few days were quiet with little to no rutting activity. We were seeing elk regularly but they weren't responding to calls at all.
