Using the example of a mobile phone and a SIM card, she explains that death is simply the separation of the Sukshma Sharir from the Sthool Sharir. She notes that the Sukshma Sharir remains in the body only as long as Prarabdha Karma lasts—much like a prepaid card that stops working when its balance is exhausted. Gurudev describes the physical signs of death she has observed—the body struggling for breath, limbs unable to move, and speech becoming incoherent—and says the real anguish at death is often the pain of leaving behind everything one has accumulated. Gurudev then explains that Prana can exit through the upper or lower passages of the body, and that scriptures describe how the exit point influences the nature of the next birth. In contrast, a Yogi consciously directs their Prana through the Brahma Randhra and leaves the body at will without any helpless struggle. She narrates the true account of a Mahayogi she knew personally who lived to be 154 years old, practiced Kayakalpa, announced the exact day and time of his death four months in advance, and trained his disciple in every detail of the last rites. He left his body in Padmasana at the appointed moment, after which his body was taken to Jageshwar and given a yajna-style cremation in a specially built kund that Gurudev herself visited. She concludes that after death, the Jiva enters a new birth according to its Karma. While one may escape human courts through manipulation, the law of Karma and the court of Ishwar cannot be bribed or manipulated.
