Jovem de 29 anos morre após passar por cesárea de emergência

Jéssica Santos de Mendonça, a 29-year-old woman from Rio de Janeiro, died after an emergency childbirth that resulted in serious complications. On the 8th of this month, the woman underwent an emergency cesarean section and began experiencing intense pain immediately after the procedure. According to family reports, this pain was initially ignored by the medical team. The situation worsened when Jéssica was transferred to another private hospital two days later. There, doctors identified a perforation in her intestine and diagnosed a generalized infection. The patient underwent emergency surgery in which approximately 20 centimeters of her intestine had to be removed. Despite subsequent medical efforts, Jéssica did not survive and died two weeks later due to the worsening of her clinical condition. She left behind a newborn son named José and another son, 10 years old.
