Woodturning - A Turned Coffee Cup Lidded Box

Coffee Time™ is a woodturned and carved lidded pot that I made for the AAW Forum 2026 Midyear Box Exchange. The cup was turned on two axes from a beech spindle blank, and the handle was carved using a Kutzall burr in my Dremel. I then turned a disk of black walnut to form the lid and look like a delicious cup of coffee. Finally, I turned and shaped a spoon handle out of some scrap oak trim moulding, which I glued in place to serve as a lid handle for opening the little pot. The cup and coffee are finished with pure tung oil, and the spoon was was painted with gloss black acrylic and paint to give it a metallic appearance.
