Woodturning - Western Red Uprising

Cedar, featuring Tulipwood, was borne of a plan. This bowl was intended to be a pot for one of my bonsai. But then I finished it, and James saw it, and now we're not allowed to drill a drainage hole in the bottom. And this is why we can't have nice things! But for reals, the bowl is red cedar, with feet turned and carved from tulipwood with Chestnut Product's antique mahogany spirit stain. After gluing the footed base into the bowl's mortice, the whole thing was finished with several applications of pure tung oil.
