I bust out the grinder and carbide bits to show you that you can port these SBF Vevor Heads yourself in your own garage. This can be done on a modest budget to get the most for your money. Let's face it, we didn't buy these heads because we have deep pockets. We are trying to get a decent level of performance from the bare minimum amount of money. The biggest takeaway in this video is that I'll show you what simple tools that you can make in order to ensure you don't get yourself into trouble with the cutters. Yes these are in fact the cheapest small block Ford head on the market, but in my opinion it is not wise to install them straight out of the box. You will need to address a few parts inadequacies that I discuss. Also they require a substantial amount of supporting parts (not included) and even changes to the hardware to accommodate different applications. I show you how these parts can add up to more than you were expecting. And also discuss different options. The parts, prices and labor can add up. So it's a long game of cost savings vs time and performance expectations with these heads to determine if they are worth purchasing. I am no head porting guru. I don't have a flow bench. I just have years of time playing in my garage cutting on heads (mostly cast iron), building engines and doing what think is best for the particular budget and application.
